We do not send your device's name to Proxyman server or any third-parties. It only uses in the app, no remote servers involved.

What is the VPN on Proxyman for iOS?

Proxyman VPN is a local VPN on user's devices. It does not connect or send any data to any remote VPN Server. The purpose of Proxyman VPN is that it can capture all traffic from user's devices and proxies to Proxyman Local Man-In-The-Middle Server (It is bundled in the Network Extension, and it operates at localhost:9494) and display HTTP/HTTPS Request or Response content on the main app to end-users.

Please note that these data do not share anywhere (Include third parties and Proxyman remote servers). All are securely stores in a local sqilte3 database, which is in the Shared Group Container in your iOS devices. As soon as the user deletes the app or click on the "Clear" button in the main view. The data is wiped out on the user's devices.

Not all HTTPS Traffic that goes through VPN is MitM-ed. Only particular domains that users would like to debug are decrypted by Proxyman. It enables end-users can view the HTTP/HTTPS Request and Response in plain text.

There are no remote servers are involved and your data always remains private to end-users. What's your iOS devices, it's in your iOS devices.
